SIDE DUMP TRAILERS

A Jet Side Dump Trailer is synonymous with STABILITY. Jet Side Dumps have patented Trunnion Mounted Inverted Hydraulic Cylinders. This engineering breakthrough drastically reduces tub acceleration during dumping, while increasing trailer stability, even when hauling sticky products. There are four maintenance free tub pivots per side, with grease-free bushings and our exterior tub corner design allows for the corners to move during the dump cycle to reduce stress, fatigue and premature wear of the tub.

Jet Side Dump Trailers are designed without a center divider, providing larger capacity, and have a smooth rolled tub, to increase trailer clean out, while offering options such as side extension kits, electric tarp, as well as various length and axle configurations. Jet Side Dump Trailers promote amazing versatility and use in multiple markets, including construction, demolition, agricultural, waste, and commercial uses to name a few.

The Hydraulic Cylinders are Trunnion Mounted (Patented) which increases stability and reduces the stress on the tub during the dump cycle. The inverted hydraulic cylinder design does not allow dirt to settle on top of the cylinder body and protects the seals and rod from dirt and debris which helps reduce cylinder maintenance.

1/4" Thick, AR400 Abrasion Resistant Steel. Increased Hardness and Strength steel reduces wear and resists minor denting. Smooth Rolled Tub interior improves clean out during the dump, No Center Divider for Versatile Hauling.
Options: 3/16" thick material. Reduces overall trailer weight.

Four pivot points per side reduces stress on the tub by minimizing deflection of the main rail during the dump cycle, which helps reduce unnecessary stress on the cylinders.
Hinges are Self Aligning, Self Lubrication, Synthetic Bushings – Virtually Maintenance Free, No Greasing Required

Tub supports are exterior and do not impede or restrict the space in the tub allowing you to haul anything that will legally fit in the trailer.

The interior of the tub has the front and rear corners relieved to a 45º angle to improve load release when dumping, reducing material hang up and helps clean out the tub when hauling sticky materials.

The front and the rear hinge points have manual locks that allow for dumping the side dump tub to either the road side or curb side of the trailer. If necessary, there is the ability to lock out both sides.

Our larger Side Rail design, fabricated using High Strength Steel, helps reduce tub stress and fatigue by minimizing deflection of the tub's side rail during the dump cycle.

Air Ride Suspension and Steel Wheels Standard. Lift Kits, Aluminum Wheels are optional.
Wheel Hubs are Sealed and Greased, not oil bath. Reduces the opportunity to damage the bearings when dumping boulders, rip rap, etc.

Bumper bolts on to push block. Push block bolts on to the side dump frame. Designed for rear of the side dump to be picked up or pushed by a wheel loader. Easily Replaceable if damaged or destroyed.

Front and Rear Fenders - Bolt On 2 Ply Rubber - Flexible to help reducing denting and damage.
Mud Flaps - Located behind the rear axle of the trailer.
Options include: Front Flaps ahead of Landing Legs with 4 flaps
    (shown in image)

Bullet style clearance and marker, Side Turn signal, 4” round tail light, license plate light. Long lasting, Reduced maintenance, very bright. Factory sealed wire harness with internal ground to reduce corrosion and maintenance.

Trailer is shot blasted, cleaned and coated with a corrosion resistant coating. Standard color is construction yellow high gloss top coat on the tub with Slate Gray high gloss top coat on the chassis.

A Steer Axle with a Lift Kit on the rear axle is a popular option. Lift Kits can be installed for any axle in several combinations (Front, Middle(s) and/or Rear). Either regulated or non regulated lift axles with control box. Also can be set up with an auto lift option based on weight. Quad with front and rear lift shown

Triple axle options include all three axles on 49” or 60.5” evenly spaced centers, or 49” centers between the first and second axle with the third axle set back 72”. Single wheels & tires on the third spread axle is common. Lift kits are popular on the 1st and 3rd axles and shown in image Please contact us for alternate axle spacing and configurations.

Aluminum wheels are lighter weight and offer a better, longer lasting appearance than steel wheels. Available in Standard or Extra Polish aluminum finish, standard width or wide base. Wide Base Aluminum Shown Standard size Aluminum wheels are approximately 45 lbs lighter per wheel than steel.

Regulates correct and equal tire pressure across all tires. One system controls two axles. Triple and Quad Axle Side Dumps will require a second tire inflation system.

Black Mesh tarp material follows the load. The tub does not need or have tarp bows or a center divider that the tarp would ride on and impede the use of the tub. Electric tarp comes with mounts for the tarp arm, stops for the tarp, and the electrical hook up at the front of the trailer. Vinyl tarps are optional for an additional cost.

Disc Brakes are an available option to the standard drum brake. Disc brakes are heavier and will add to the overall weight of the trailer.

The tub cylinders require hydraulic pressure to retract and lower the tub, it does not use gravity. This allows trucks with single direction hydraulic line to both the raise and lower the tub.

Reads pressure from the airbags. Installed in a weather resistant enclosure on the road side of the trailer by the front suspension. Filled with shock absorbing liquid to protect the gauge from vibration.

The Tarp Lock-out Kit is a safety feature that electrically disables control of the side dump tub when the tarp is closed. Once the tarp is completely open, the tub can be dumped.
The Latch Plate is installed on the top rail opposite of the tarp that helps secure the tarp when closed and traveling distances.

Allows for extra capacity in the tub when hauling lighter, less dense material. Bolt on and removable. Typically mounted on the curb side of the tub to allow dumping to the driver/road side. Once installed, dumping to the curb side is no longer an option unless the extension is physically removed from the trailer. Available in both aluminum or steel. Steel Extensions are blasted and painted to match the tub.

Stocking colors are white, black, red, blue, slate gray and yellow, or custom matching to a tractor or company color is possible for an upcharge.

There are several different mudflap options. Front or Rear, Four total mudflaps for full coverage across the width of the trailer. Front are located in front of the landing legs, option of two mudflaps, one behind each set of truck tires or four mudflaps for full width of trailer coverage.

Three tail lights are standard. Four are optional. Increases the visibility of the trailer from the rear. Multiple configurations of marker lights are available to increase the visibility of the trailer in the dark. Please contact us about options. Safety strobe lighting at the rear of the trailer. Increases visibility on the road.

Allows for attachment of a dolly and second trailer behind the lead. Includes hook ups for air and electrical. Side Dump Trailers with a pintle hitch will have an optional push block.

As an underground utility contractor, we use side dumps for hauling concrete removals, tree debris, dirt, mud spoils and bedding aggregates. Our side dumps encounter all types of site conditions from pavement to dirt fields. The 2014 Jet Super Tri-Axle is without a doubt the best trailer we’ve owned. If I give my driver a choice of what trailer to hook up to since we have a few different manufacturers in our fleet, the Jet is the first to go!

    – Kelly T. - Nebraska

"The Side Dump Trailer is working very well. Very impressed with the stability when dumping a full load of manure. Would definitely recommend the Jet Side Dump to anyone!"

    – Kyle T. - Iowa

"The Jet Side Dump has a smooth cycle all the way through and there is no jerk at the end like some of the competition."

    – Joe K. - Speedy Dump

"The biggest thing about a Jet Side Dump is the stability during the dump compared to other trailers."

    – Kurt M. - Iowa
