Aluminum Grain Hopper Trailers
Jet Company has introduced a new ALUMINUM Grain Hopper Trailer to its product lineup. This aluminum grain hopper trailer has been Designed, Engineered, and Built for Today's Loads. Jet's hopper bottom trailer now features an Aluminum Double-Wall Smooth Side design that minimizes rivets, exterior ribs and corrugations in the sidewall, allowing the sides and ends of the grain trailer to be smooth, sleek, and aerodynamic.
Engineered for both Farm and Highway usage, Jet Company's Aluminum Grain Hopper Trailer is light weight and stronger than ever. Jet Company has incorporated many standard features in this grain trailer design that makes hauling easier for the end user while adding long lasting value. The grain hopper door is still Jet Trailer's PATENTED Easy Open Door. This grain door is designed and engineered to use the weight of the load to mechanically assist the user during operation, greatly reducing the effort needed to open the door. The door frame also has high strength self cleaning door rollers that require little to no maintenance. Jet added High Clearance Door Cranks to this trailer that are designed to minimize straining and bending when opening the Easy Open Doors. Our High Gloss Powder Coat Paint provides a long lasting durable exterior finish that is more resistant to chipping, scratching, fade and wear.

Jet's Grain Hopper Trailer's standard lengths are 21'8" single axle or pup trailer, 34'2", 38'4", 40'0", 41'8" tandem axles, and a 50'0" triple axle.

The new design is a double wall side that eliminates exterior ribs. It also minimizes side wall rivets from the hopper trailer giving it an aerodynamic, sleek, modern look.
The new aluminum grain trailer is standard with a high gloss powder coat paint. Powder coating the exterior provides a high gloss and long lasting durable finish. It is more resistant to chipping, scratching, fade and wear that's easy to clean and maintain, especially with the smooth exterior walls. Stocking colors include White, Black, Silver Gray, or Slate Gray.
The Patented Easy Open Hopper Door is exclusive to Jet and is a hopper trailer essential feature. When you close and lock the door, it rests on a ramp above the rollers. When you unlock the door, the weight of the load and gravity help you open the door, making it truly EASY to operate. View our video below for further illustration.
Our aluminum grain trailer was redesigned from front to back. The front of the trailer has rounded stainless steel corners with a mirror-like finish that are hard to ignore.
Standard Wall Height is 66” for a tandem hopper trailer. (shown in image) Triple axles have a 72" standard height. Optional Wall heights include 72" and 78", contact Jet for other options if you require something different on your grain trailer.
All hopper bottom trailers are equipped with an Electric Tarp and remote control. The tarp is supported by two ratchet straps and aluminum bolt on tarp bows that can be easily replaced if necessary. Tarp color is black, opitonal colors are available. Easy off stops allow for easy removal of the tarp for repairs if necessary. Manual roll tarps are also available.
Hopper Clearance is approximately 20" with the standard 22.5" wheels/tires. (21" on 24.5" wheels/tires)
The crank handle for the grain hopper door has been raised higher to minimize straining and bending when opening the door. If you are looking to upgrade, ask about our electric door option complete with a remote.
Aluminum ladders are mounted to the front and rear ends of the grain trailer. The rear ladder has a flip down extension to allow for easier access from the ground to trailer.

A popular option for triple axle hopper bottom trailers is spreading the rear axle back and adding the auto lift feature. Spacing depends on your needs in relation to your truck and what the regulations are in your state. Contact Jet for further explanation.
Depending on the length of the hopper bottom trailer, wall heights are standard at 66" or 72". However, you can always increase height if you haul light, bulky materials such as DDGs that require more cubic feet for maximum payload. Jet's 78" Side Wall Height is shown in the image. Contact Jet to learn more.
A Pintle Hitch is available on the rear of the trailer that would include the air and electrical hook-ups for a dolly to pull a second trailer.
Pup Trailers are available with dolly. 8' Hinged Tongue Dolly and a 21' 8" x 66" tall trailer is shown. Contact us for trailer and dolly sizes and options.

The hopper bottom trailers are standard with 5 clearance/marker lights per side. Options include extra row(s) of lights and an increased number of lights per row.
Vibrators, mounting brackets, and knock rails can be installed on the hoppers to assist the unloading of sticky and stubborn products such as DDGs, Bean Meal or other high volume bulky items.
Jet offers catwalks and grab handles to give you more stability if you need to climb up the front or rear of the hopper trailer to view the inside.
Extra mud flaps can be added behind the truck, in front of the landing legs to help protect the trailer from the stuff the truck tires tend to kick up.
Installed above the tires to reduce the water spray out the side of the trailer during wet road conditions.
